Owner SC Wellness & Fitness Center & The Karate Studio, LMT, REALTOR Lisa Melendez, 4th degree black belt in karate, Licensed Massage Therapist, educator in Massage Therapy, Certified L.E.A.N. Health Coach and REALTOR. Lisa is the Co-owner of The SC Wellness & Fitness Center as well as The Karate Studio with her husband Nelson Melendez. Lisa is also certified in Mental Health First Aid through SC Thrive. Lisa has also rum and operated several after school programs in the metropolitan areas of Brooklyn NY, Seattle, WA. Lisa is very much involved with and oversees all committees. Joseph Menn, Vice President
Podiatrist/ Surgeon Dr. Joseph Menn has been living in the Myrtle Beach area since moving here in 1991 with his wife, Karen. He is one of the founding partners of Coastal Podiatry Associates. With six offices located throughout Horry county, he has helped grow their practice to the largest in the state. He has served his profession for most of his career as an elected officer in both statewide and national positions. Locally, he serves as vice chief of surgery at Carolina Bone and Joint Surgery Center. His hobbies include adventure travel, photography and the Martial Arts. He holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and in Goju Ryu Karate. |

Nelson Melendez, Co-Founder and Board Member
Co-Owner SC Wellness & Fitness Center & The Karate Studio Nelson Melendez lives in Myrtle Beach, SC with his wife Lisa Melendez and their son AJ. Together they own and operate the SC Wellness and Fitness Center, LLC. as well as The Karate Studio. He is a 6th degree black belt and head instructor in the style of Goju Karate-Do. He was the Associate Executive Director at an after school program in Brooklyn and has run and operated other youth programs in Queens and Brooklyn NY. Nelson holds a certification in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) through Horry County Schools. Currently he is a bi-lingual Victim's Advocate for the Horry County Police Department. Nelson is also a Veteran and served as a Sergeant in the US Army. |
